Congressman Henry Waxman is scheduled to appear at a Town Hall meeting convened by the West Hills Neighborhood Council on Wednesday at 7 pm at Shomrei Torah Synagogue, 7353 Valley Circle Blvd., in West Hills.

Congressman Waxman chairs the Energy and Commerce Committee of the Congress, which has oversight authority over the Department of Energy, and is one of the most powerful people in Congress. He also represents a large number of constituents affected by the Santa Susana Field Lab.

It is very important that as many people as possible go to the Town Hall meeting and submit questions to be asked of him, indicating the concern of the people who live in the area around the site for their health, their anger that the federal agencies are refusing their cleanup obligations, and ask him what he is doing to get the feds to clean up the radioactive and toxic mess they made. Questions are to be submitted in writing.
